EA01 Areon by Calates EA01 Areon by Calates
Model: EA01 Areon
Type: Battle Cruiser
Manufacturer: Gigsan Technologies
Armaments:
1 Experimental Plasma based Rail gun
8 High-Density 'Fire Spirit' energy-based turrets
65 Razor Medium Turrets
129 Razor Light Turrets
20 Havok Heavy Missile Tubes
28 Spectre Missile Pods

The EA01 Areon is a marvel of Gigsan Technologies engineering, powered by 2 TYPE-4 Hydrogen Fusion cores and capable of simultaneously launching 230 fighters backed up by an impressive armament and a powerful plasma based rail gun. The Areon draws most of it's fighting strength from it's legions of Keora and Anura Fighters, which it keeps constant contact with trough it's over sized sensor and communications suite. Not only can the Areon repair it's fighters, it also comes equipped with a factory that produces new fighters from raw materials. During battle it backs it's fighters up with powerful turrets and most notably it's experimental plasma rail gun, Gigsan's first plasma based weapon ready for field testing. Beside these functions it's also uniquely equiped for large scale invasion, carrying mobile command centers under it's wings which allow soldiers to quickly set up ground based camps.

The ULC Impending Danger, designation EA01-0002, is a recently build vessel under control of Gigsan Technologies under the ULC government. The commander of this vessel is unknown due to Gigsan's secrecy, rumors in the Thai army however, vary from Areon's being AI controlled to them secretly being controlled by Rantoïd. Never the less, the Impending Danger is stationed on the edge of the Terran Federation within the T'Serrar  fleet. Other then supplying the fleet with new personal armor systems they have kept to themselves and drift on the edge of the fleet.

This is bad ass. I have been looking for someone who could create a ship along these lines, but with much more aggressive weaponry.

Nice!

So, it has a good five different models of engine in the back end? Sounds like a logistical nightmare in the making.

That has to be one of the best ship designs I've ever seen. I seriously hope that's going into Star Citzen

3Ds MAX, but last I checked the problem wasn't the file extension but that models had to be constructed the right way.

I really like the use of space on your designs. It's clear that you're paying attention to interior volume instead of taking the "weaponry on every square centimeter because who needs interior machinery or crew spaces?" approach.

Thank you, yes I try to remind myself of the space inside the ship but also of strategic placement of weapons and of course how many you can efficiently bring due to their power and ammo needs. I can't say I do it that well every time but I like how thinking like that adds more dept to the design. Atleast from my perspective.
